Forget the other 11 days, if only I could, as they’re the ones that have brought me the most pain over the years as one cannot simply isolate the singular Christmas holiday to have self-reflection and realize that one has nothing, then turn the page the next day and pretend that you can live a life. No, it’s the other 11 days, the build up to the realization that you have nothing, that sting the hardest, weigh on you like a boxer without much punching power, jabbing you just soft enough so that you stay on your feet, but wearing away bits of your brain one weak punch to the head at a time.
