Tell Senator Murray to Oppose Another Special Interest Pay Off
Dear K,
Along with Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts comes an end to the super-majority in Congress and their ability to ram legislation through without a bipartisan vote.
For most Americans this is a good thing — but not for Big Labor.
In order to beat the clock, organized labor is racing to confirm the controversial nominee, Craig Becker, to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) before they lose sixty votes when Scott Brown is sworn in on February 11.
Late last year, Becker’s nomination was effectively blocked due to concerns over his extreme anti-employer background and determination to restrict their rights in the workplace.
But sensing the last chance for the dangerous “Card Check” bill, Becker’s name was reintroduced and the hearing will take place this week.
Contact Senator Murray now and tell them to oppose this nomination.
Becker’s seat on the NLRB is dangerous regardless, but attempting to push his nomination through during a lame duck is particularly unsettling.
Email Senator Murray now and tell her you oppose both Becker’s nomination to the National Labor Relations Board and the Senate’s race against the clock to seat him.
In today’s economy, America needs jobs, not another special interest pay off.
Time is running out.
Sincerely,
Bill Miller
Senior Vice President and National Political Director
U.S. Chamber of Commerce
